Upper Room Pre-Marriage Experience
CONGRATULATIONS! What a great and exciting time for you as a couple! Thank you for letting us share in your next chapter together.
Upper Room sees the pre-marriage process with engaged couples as much more than preparation for a beautiful ceremony on a beautiful day. (Although we certainly hope that is true as well!!) Our hope is that this will be a process that focuses you on how God can and will move in your lives together during this season.
Upper Room has several expectations for engaged couples engaging in our Pre-Marriage process.
- Four pre-marriage counseling sessions which include the Prepare-Enrich inventory, with an offsite professional counselor recommended by Upper Room. The cost for the 4 sessions is $350.
- Attendance at an Upper Room Engaged Couples Evening prior to your wedding with other Upper Room couples. There is no charge for this event. Upcoming dates: June 17, 2009; Oct 9, 2009; Jan 15, 2009; April 16, 2010; July 16, 2010; Oct 15, 2010.
- Minimum of 2 meetings with the Upper Room pastor who will be marrying you. The number of pastoral meetings is up to the discretion of the UR pastor.
Upper Room staff pastors and community volunteer pastors are available to officiate weddings and are assigned on a rotating basis unless you have a special connection to a UR pastor. Please know that individual pastors are limited to the number of weddings they can officiate per year.
