Upper Room Kids' Ministry
In February of 2006, Upper Room launched our first-ever Kids' Ministry to meet the needs of our growing community. We are thrilled about all that God has done in and through this ministry since our start. Below you can find information about our ministry and our values. Upper Room Families
One of our core values of UR Kids is that we are Family Focused - we desire to connect families and equip parents on the journey of faith.
In the winter of 2008 over 200 hundred community members took part in our vision refocusing process as we moved into Chapter 3 of Upper Room’s story. Over a four month period, Upper Roomers participated in input groups, a community survey, and formation and refinement teams meetings. We heard from parents that they want more resources to help them spiritually lead their kids at home. We also affirmed the high value of the community that is created among families. To better support families in these ways we hope to build communal momentum through family focused experiences. We also want to continue to equip parents in their responsibility as the primary spiritual role models for their kids through a Tool Box found in the weekly parent email.
