Upper Room Leadership

On January 5, 2009, Upper Room was legally incorporated as an independent church. On that date, we made the transition from Christ Presbyterian Church’s governance structure to our own fully-empowered two-board structure:

• An Initiation Team that is the governing board of UR and acts as the primary overseer of our mission, values and senior staff. They also have final approval on annual budget recommendations made by the Resource Team.
• A Resource Team that helps create and monitor the annual budget and tracks monthly giving.

This independent governance structure will continue until the Initiation Team adopts one of two paths for the future, sometime this fall. The two options being considered are continuing with an independent governance structure or denominational affiliation with the Evangelical Covenant Church (ECC).
